FAQs

Everything you need to know before bringing your pup in. Don't see your question? Give us a call.

The easiest way is to call us directly at (714) 730-3961 during business hours, Tuesday through Saturday, 9am–5pm. You can also request an appointment online and we'll follow up by phone to confirm your visit.
We recommend booking at least a few days ahead, especially on weekends. For regular clients on a set schedule, we can often hold recurring slots. Walk-ins are welcome when availability allows — call ahead to check.
Yes — we do welcome walk-ins when we have availability. That said, calling ahead is always the best way to make sure we can take your dog the same day. Our number is (714) 730-3961.
Appointment times vary depending on your dog's size, breed, coat condition, and the services requested. A bath and blow-dry for a small dog may take around an hour, while a full groom for a large or double-coated breed can take two to three hours. We'll give you a more accurate estimate when you book.
We understand that life happens. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us as much notice as possible so we can offer that slot to another pup on our waitlist. Call us at (714) 730-3961 to make any changes.
Our grooming prices are based on your dog's size. As a general guide: Small dogs start at $70–$75, Medium dogs $85–$90, and Large dogs $100–$120. Doodles and similar mixed breeds with unique coat types have separate pricing starting at $75 for small. Final pricing may vary based on coat condition, matting, and temperament.
Our listed prices are guidelines. The final cost can vary based on factors like your dog's coat condition (matting takes extra time and care), behavior during the groom, and the time required to complete the service safely and comfortably. We always prioritize your dog's wellbeing, and any adjustments reflect that commitment.
Yes — Doodles and similar mixed breeds have unique coat types that require more time and specialized technique. Doodle pricing starts at $75 for small, $100 for medium, and $140 for large. This reflects the additional care their coats require to be groomed properly and comfortably.
Tipping is always appreciated but never expected. A common guideline is 15–20% of the grooming cost, similar to other personal care services. If your groomer went above and beyond — especially with a nervous or difficult dog — a larger tip is a meaningful way to show your appreciation.
We offer a full range of grooming services including: full-service grooming (bath + haircut), baths and blow-dry, breed-specific styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning, superficial teeth cleaning, hand blow dry, and puppy and senior dog grooming. Many services can also be booked as standalone appointments.
Yes — we groom dogs of all breeds and sizes. From small breeds like Chihuahuas and Shih Tzus to large breeds like Golden Retrievers, Huskies, and Dobermans. We're experienced with double-coated breeds, Doodles, and dogs with special coat needs.
Yes. Nail trims are available as a standalone service. Signs your dog is overdue include clicking on hard floors when they walk, shifting their weight while standing, or nails starting to curve. Long nails can affect posture and joint health over time, so regular trims are important even between full grooms.
It depends on your dog's breed and coat type. Short-coated breeds like Beagles can often go 6–8 weeks between professional grooms. Double-coated breeds like Golden Retrievers or Australian Shepherds typically need visits every 4 weeks, especially during shedding season. We're happy to recommend a schedule based on your specific dog when you come in.
We offer superficial teeth cleaning as part of our grooming services. This is a surface-level clean to help with odor and visible buildup. It is not a substitute for veterinary dental cleanings, which involve anesthesia and treat below the gumline. We recommend pairing regular grooming dental care with routine vet checkups.
We take extra care with first-time visitors. When you arrive, we'll talk through your dog's coat, temperament, and what you're looking for. Our team is experienced with nervous and first-time dogs — we take things at your pup's pace to make the experience as calm and positive as possible.
Most puppies can start grooming visits as early as 8–12 weeks, ideally after their second round of vaccinations. Early grooming visits are one of the best investments you can make — they help puppies get comfortable with baths, handling, and the sounds of grooming equipment before they're fully grown. We take extra time and care with puppies to keep every visit calm and positive.
Yes. Our team is experienced working with anxious, nervous, and reactive dogs. We use gentle handling techniques and take things at a pace your dog is comfortable with. Please let us know ahead of your appointment if your dog has any specific sensitivities so we can plan accordingly.
Just bring your dog on a leash or in a carrier. If your dog has specific preferences for shampoo or has known skin sensitivities, feel free to mention that when you book. We use professional grooming products suited to different coat and skin types.
We recommend that dogs visiting us are current on core vaccines, including rabies. If you have questions about vaccination requirements, give us a call before your appointment and we'll be happy to walk you through what we need.
